Real estate investors and press mingled at a recent Dubai Properties cocktail, organised by Facility Media, at Hong Kong's Grand Hyatt on 28 September. Asian investment in the developer's projects has increased significantly during 2006, up from US$600 mil in 2005 to US$2 bil, and as part of MIPIM Asia, the developer showcased its commercial and residential projects to the region.
Dubai Properties says just as Dubai has become a lucrative destination for Asian investors, Asia has also become an attractive location for Middle East investors. Its Chief Operating Officer, Mohamed Binbrek, said the company is experiencing "significant demand" from Asian retail and institutional investors.
