PostHeaderIcon Facility Media Makes its First Foray into Social Media

Facility Media, the only Asia-based multi-service media company serving industries making up our built environment, made its first foray into social media in the wake of its second annual Outstanding Individuals in Industry Awards gala dinner, held 14 May this year. The decision to start a Facebook site was in response to the flood of enquiries from people wanting to see photos of themselves immediately and the ability of social media to publicise and create a community at the same time. "While many of the pictures will also be published publically on www.rfpmagazine.com and in our print edition, this is anotheravenue for people to be a part of RFP. As an invitation only group, there will be more information posted over the course of the year with elite events and information for RFP subscribers being posted online", said Ashford Pritchard, Managing Editor, RFP Magazine.

"Using something like facebook or twitter is just another way of fulfilling our mission to create a comunity of knowlege and contacts." said Claire Saeki publisher of RFP Magazine and MD of Facility Media.

To join the group and see the who's who of hte Asin property, building and design community under one roof, search Facebook for "RFP Magazine" and request to join.

“The awards are really about highlighting the shared achievements of the industries of the built environment in Asia,” explained RFP Magazine’s Managing Editor, Ashford Pritchard. “By calling-out people, and not projects, we aim to put a human face to an industry which performs a truly essential service to the general public, but is all too often overlooked.”
